St Clement’s Church Dingwall
Over the weekend of 28th to 30th October, St.Clements had a week end of Harvest Celebration.
On Friday evening there was a Harvest Supper , A Gift Day was held on the Saturday
To finish the weekend, on the Sunday there was a Parish Service where the Very Rev Bill Hewitt was invited to preach. In preparation for the visit, Bill endeavored to bring a reminder of Greenock. In the end, he took two jars of sweets. One was Chocolate Peppermint creams and the other Rich Assorted Toffees .
Both are made by a local firm known as the Golden Casket who are also the main shareholder in our local football team – the one and only Greenock Morton. Sadly he could not rejoice in the result on the Saturday was Ross County were by far the superior team. with that knowledge, we are sure that the taste of the sweets will improve.
After the Service, Bill and his wife Moira joined with the congregation in the church hall for a cup of tea and a blether.
The connection of the Rolling Stone has been well cemented
